George

I personally did not like reading this book. I agree, that everyone has a right to read what they want and have questions and read for information and answers they want, however, that does not mean that I have to agree with what every book is about. This particular book was not one I would read on my own without being told to.

George is a book about a boy who wants to try out for a girl part in a play, Charlotte’s Web. However, since he is a boy and the part is that of a girl, he is told no. George though does not feel like a boy…he feels like a girl. He is only in fourth grade.

To each their own. There are many people, both kids and adults, who struggle with self identity as far as gender goes. This might be a good book for those who want to read about someone else with the same problem.
