This is Not My Hat

41Xe5bKK6nL._SY361_BO1,204,203,200_What a perfect book to teach children about inferencing!

A little fish steals the hat of a much bigger fish. He thinks he won’t be found because he is going to where the plants grow tall and big. However, the big fish catches up to him and all you see is the two of them enter the place where the plants are. The big fish ends up with his hat, but it’s up to the reader to figure out what happened to the smaller fish.

I enjoy Klassen’s books. I Want My Hat Back was another one of my favorites by him. They are authentic and well crafted. (I do wonder if he has a thing for hats, 🤔.)

Klassen, Jon (2012). This is not my hat. Somerville, MA: Candlewick Press.
